Course Objectives
Review critical issues faced by the sports medicine practitioner in the care of athletes. Provide the most recent advances in care to athletes at all levels of competition. Provide practical, interactive learning of evaluation and treatment techniques. Provide strength and conditioning coaches with information regarding the most effective and safe means of enhancing sport performance.
2023 D-N-D Sports Performance, Rehabilitation, and Injury Prevention Conference Learning Objectives
1. Apply evidence-based approaches for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for athletes participating in a variety of sports at a variety of completive levels.
2. Evaluate the psychosocial and environmental barriers to delivering team-based healthcare in collaboration with patients from various sports.
3. Apply information technology to promote practice-based research and conduct quality improvement projects.
4. Apply current best practice in pre-hospital emergency management and acute injuries and illnesses
5. Assess how athletic training and sports performance programs can achieve the simultaneously improve health care, sport injury rehabilitation, improve population health, improve provider well-being, and enhance sports performance
6. Provide athletic strength and conditioning coaches with information regarding the most effective and safe means of enhancing sport performance.
